HORSE TRAINING

Full Training:

This includes 20 sessions a month of either training rides or lessons for the rider. Rides and lessons are anywhere from 30 - 45 minutes. Clients also have use of our tack room.

All clients in full training are charged a horse management fee which includes full care for your horse. Our staff handle feeding hay and grain, turn-out, blanketing, etc. Tayside is happy to make arrangements as needed for farrier, veterinarian, or dental care. The cost of those services, supplements, etc are passed back to clients without the addition of overhead charges. Clients are invoiced at the start of every month for these costs and the next month’s services.

LESSONS

Tayside Sport Horses offers lessons every day of the week. Wednesdays are reserved for beginner riders only, but everyone is welcome any other time. We schedule individual lessons in one hour blocks, working with our clients to find the most convenient times for them. Lessons are given at The Horse Park at Woodside.

We offer private or semi-private lessons so our students can receive the best individualized instruction. Clients are invoiced in advance for the next month’s lessons. Please note, you must be a member of The Horse Park of Woodside to ride on the property.

We offer 1 hour group or private lessons on Tayside lesson horse only.

LEASES

When a horse is available to lease, Tayside offers a full lease at $10k or a half lease at $7k, for a 12 month commitment, paid up front. Lesson and training fees are not included in the lease fee. Riders who are leasing a horse will get first pick of any shows they wish to compete in and have priority for their desired lesson time.
